SHENOY as our Brand name: Our Surname, SHENOY has been a Trusted Name in Lighting since the last 52 years. So we decided to bring all our activities under one name SHENOY STUDIO LIGHTING SYSTEMS. As far as our products are concerned we can proudly say that the products are THE BEST AVAILABLE IN THE COUNTRY TODAY.
The vast knowledge gathered during those 38 years with “Canara” and the last 15 years exposure to the very challenging demands of the ever-changing industry needs, has helped us evolve and achieve excellence in the field of Studio Lighting System. We have Re-Engineered and Redesigned our complete product range and brought them to the design and quality standards of the best in the world We have also developed excellent in-house capabilities and Engineering Talents to develop World Class Products and also provide uncompromised After Sales Services.
We wish to state that we are into Design, Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, After Sales Service of Specialized Lighting Systems since 1972 (52 Years). BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE OWNERS OF SHENOY AND ITS LINEAGE
R. G. Shenoy
He is my father. He was one of the Founding Directors of Canara Lighting Ind. Ltd. Thane & Mangalore. He ran the company successfully from its inception in 1972 until he sold his entire stake in the company in 2010. From 1972 to 2010, he was looking after the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and After Sales Service of complete Project execution works. He was also awarded with a very prestigious Award by the then President of India as the Self Made Industrialist of the year in 1975.
During those 38 years, he has successfully executed innumerable Studio Lighting Projects in public and private sector organizations. Due to certain Legal Agreements as per the No Compete Clause. He entered into with the new owners, he was not allowed to have any presence in this field or participate in any tender bids for 5 years. The no compete period was over on 31st March, 2015. He joined us and has been guiding us Full time since 2015.
Nitin R. Shenoy
He is the Managing Director or of the Company, He is a qualified BE Electronics Engineer and an MBA in Marketing. He has been working in the field of Specialized Lighting since 1995. He worked in his Father’s company Canara Lighting Industries Limited from 1995 to 2002. Then he worked as an Electronic Engineer with Power Gems in Manchester, England for a couple of years. Power Gems is one of the biggest manufacturers of Electronic Flicker Free Ballast for HMI lamps that are used extensively in Film Shootings.
He returned back to India with his wife Deepa in 2003 and formed their own company Katyani Telecine Equipment Mktg. Co. This company has been Marketing Indigenously Manufactured products in Competition with the Biggest and Best Imported products from around the world on Technical Specifications, Quality, Price and After Sales Service. We have undertaken and successfully executed numerous projects in Public and Private Sector Organizations.
Deepa N. Shenoy
Deepa is an active Director in the company. She has done her BSC and she has also done her Specialization in in Computers. She is also a one of the Founder members of the company and she actively participates and looks after all the day to day working in all the aspects of the Company since its inception in 2003.
